Visitors to The Flume,
a popular tourist attraction just off NH Route 3 in Lincoln, are delighted
by this historic 50 foot Paddleford truss bridge spanning the Pemigewasset
River. Especially if one has viewed the Concord Coach in the Visitor's
Center, the bridge can evoke images of bygone days. Built in 1871, The
Flume Bridge is eligible to be included on the National Register of
Historic Places.
